Chair library resources also it is information search systems.

Chair library resources and it is information search systems was it is organized in 1990. Till 2007 the chair functioned as «Library funds and the organization of catalogues». The basic function of chair is the teaching organization at faculty library disciplines (library funds, library catalogues, etc.) And scientifically- on actual problems of library-information resources and information search systems. Till 2005 over chair the candidate of historical sciences, senior lecturer Tadzheddin Farhad Kuliev supervised. Since 2006 chair the doctor historical sciences, professor Halil Ismail Ismailov manages visible library. The chair is given great value of research activity. The basic object of these researches is studying of actual problems of development of library resources in Azerbaijan and development of recommendations for its further perfection. The Professor- teacher and auxiliary structure of chair consists of 10 persons-one the professor, one senior lecturer, one senior teacher, two teachers, one managing laboratory and the laboratorian. At chair the laboratory «Library funds and catalogues» functions.

In this connection, wide library activity the Central Scientific library, National library of a name of M.F.Ahundova, Scientific library of the Baku State University and other libraries and establishments-carrying out library activity, are in the centre of scientific attention of chair.
